Nonlinearity behaviour of thin composite plates with stress concentratorsAbstract
In this lecture the nonlinear behaviour of thin composite plates with stress concentrators will be analysed. The composite thin plates with stress concentrators in the form of few different hole shapes were investigated, and the influence of different lay-ups was also analysed. A new modified Theory of Critical Distances was used for analysing the results for stress gradients of modelled cases obtained by Finite Element Analysis. The discussion of the obtained results shows the specific potential and efficiency of the presented approach, as well as the directions for further research in this field.
